1. Check the domain name is available.
You can check availability at the following IEDR link. (Just type your desired .ie domain into the search box at the top of their page > Is my domain available.

2. Prove you are who you say you are.
You will need identification, usually a RBN, Passport or driver’s license and accompanying letter stating your link to Ireland and why you require the .ie domain you want to purchase. As mentioned, this is all to ensure you have a genuine link with Ireland.

3. Choose your hosting company and desired hosting package.
